Development Work 2

This shoot represents the tracking of growth and decay. Similar to Sophie Calles work whereby she is keeping track of belongings and a record of a person.
However, in these photos I am tracking the development of growth and then the contrast of that, the development of decay.

I chose to use bananas and flowers as they decay more noticeably and you can see the track of their life and decay in the form of their discolouration and structure, as time goes on.
I took these photos over a week to portray the decaying process. The banana obviously started off as bright yellow and as the week went on the structure and frame of the fruit became more distorted and the yellow began to fade into a dark brown.

The flower started off pink and as the week went on the head of the flower began to droop until eventually in was facing the bottom of the stem.

Food...

Plants...

This images represent the tracking of life to death. For my previous development I have tracked a persons belongings and then a persons day so I then wanted to incorporate the natural growth and life to death cycle with living things other than humans.

As I have already shown the tracking of day to night for someones daily routine I wanted to show how other living things live and decay and eventually die. I chose to do this with flowers and food to represent the decaying process.
